So Cape Town is quickly running out of water. Luckily In the Vine Country Manor and Spa has a borehole with perfectly drinkable water. Now I know level 6B has been implemented and that means 50 liters of water per person per day. Here are a few guidelines to be mindful of when visiting our beautiful part of the world.
Stock up on baby wipes
Use dry shampoos (coco powder alternative for dark hair / corn starch for blondes)
Make a solution of vinegar water / stay soft water to spray clothes and hang to air dry
Hand sanitizer and hand cream
Using a combination of Vinegar and Bicarbonate of Soda as cleaning agent won't destroy water for grey use - please have a look at what ratios to use as the combination may bleach your goods
When using the toilet please use the "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down" motto
Now to avoid clogging the toilet dispose of toilet paper in lined bins instead of the toilet bowl
Put baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) in your bin liner to absorb any odors
Pour Vinegar in the toilet bowl for odors
Lets do our part to save water where we can.
